About Me
I qualified with a PhD in Clinical Neuropsychology in 1999 at the University of Windsor in Canada. I have worked in the UK since that time in a variety of services including: brain injury rehabilitation, memory clinics, epilepsy surgery, and general neuropsychology services for the neurosciences. Most of my career has been at North Bristol NHS Trust, where I have enjoyed working with excellent colleagues in the Neurosciences.
I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Clinical Psychologist, and I am on the British Psychological Society's Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychologists.
I am an honorary senior lecturer at the University of Bristol, where I am involved in teaching and research, as well as training, supervising and examining some of the next generation of Clinical Neuropsychologists.
Subjective Cognitive Decline
Getting older and worried about your memory? Someone in your family has dementia?
Subjective cognitive decline - or experiencing changes in memory or other cognitive functions - is very common. It is often hard to tell if it is related to normal ageing or something else. For peace of mind, some people ask for a formal assessment of memory and thinking skills to check for any significant difficulties and provide results for future comparison, just in case it is needed.
